Accenture Pride Month Painting Workshop
Accenture invited me to lead a special professional-development painting workshop in honor of Pride Month, bringing their team together through creativity, expression, and community building. Designed for participants of all experience levels, the workshop introduced accessible fine-art techniques while creating space for personal identity and celebration.
Over the course of two hours, I guided the group through the process of creating an expressive, layered painting. We began with foundational skills, proper brush handling, color blending, value building, and intuitive mark-making and then moved step-by-step through constructing an image that allowed each participant’s voice to shine through. The structure encouraged confidence, play, and exploration while still teaching practical techniques that mirror the approach of a traditional painting studio.
At the end of the session, each participant added a final personal layer using paint markers: a word or affirmation that reflects who they are, what Pride means to them, or how they see themselves within their community. These finishing touches transformed every canvas into a unique piece of expressive storytelling.
The workshop not only celebrated Pride Month, but also strengthened team connection, encouraged creative risk-taking, and provided a joyful, supportive space for colleagues to honor identity through art.
