Berlin Artist Residency
April 15 – July 8, 2026
In Spring 2026, I will travel to Berlin, Germany for a three-month international artist residency, an immersive experience designed to support dedicated studio time, cultural research, and artistic development. The residency provides housing, studio access, and professional support, creating an environment that encourages artists to explore new ideas, experiment with materials, and engage with Berlin’s dynamic and historically layered creative landscape.
A key reason I applied to this program is its commitment to supporting artists with families. The residency welcomes partners and children, allowing artists to continue their creative work without leaving their support systems behind. I will attend with my husband and two young children, which will allow me to fully engage in the residency while keeping my family close and grounded. The program’s family-inclusive structure ensures that artists can work, reflect, and grow in a sustainable and holistic way.
During my time in Berlin, my work will focus on exploring themes of cultural identity, memory, and place, examining how environment shapes narratives both personal and collective. Surrounded by Berlin’s rich artistic ecosystem, I will develop new print-based works and mixed-media explorations informed by the city’s history, museums, and contemporary creative communities. The residency also offers opportunities for collaboration, community events, and international exchange, expanding the reach of my practice.
This extended period of research and creation will serve as a catalyst for future projects once I return home culminating in a solo show opening August 7th. The Berlin residency marks an important moment in my artistic trajectory, one that integrates professional growth with the lived experience of exploring the world together as a family.”
