Don't Take My Hoops is addressing cultural appropriation. Although anyone can wear a pair of hoops, I feel large hoops are definitely a cultural representation of black and brown communities. Seeing hoops being worn outside of these communities is offensive especially when they have long been described as “ghetto” fashion.
